Hello, I was curious as a photography student how do you achieve such beautiful grainy black and white shots? Do you use manual or digital and edit them b/w? When ever I use a high ISO it comes out awful ahhaa. Your photographs are stunning :)
I apply my analog wet darkroom knowledge when I am processing the digital files to black and white.
1. I always shoot raw
2. I make very GOOD EXPOSURES
3. I edit using Adobe Lightroom 5 and Nik Silver EFX Pro 2, the Nik black and white gives the kind of fine detail and grain that can make the digital
B+W distinguishable from the analog.
4. It really does help if the digital camera you are using produces good files at hi ISO/ ASA.
…Thank you so much for the photo love
